Dr Zulu is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently practising at Melomed in Richards Bay. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBChB) at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2008. He completed his Fellowship of Colleges of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FCOG) at the College of Medicine South Africa (CMSA) in 2019. He also completed his Master of Medicine degree (MMed) at the University of Witwatersrand in 2019.
His career started with an internship at the Newcastle Provincial Hospital from January 2009 to December of 2010, followed by a year as a community service doctor. During 2012, he was the medical officer at Addington Hospital in Durban, until he was promoted to Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Lower Umfolozi Regional Memorial War Hospital in Empangeni, Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2013.
In 2014, he started working in the same position at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital in Johannesburg, before becoming the medical officer at the Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Johannesburg in 2018.
Dr Zulu has experience in treating patients with abnormal uterine bleeding and infertility problems, as well as providing contraceptive counselling. He also has experience in helping patients through the process of pregnancy, this includes preconception counselling, antenatal and postnatal care, and birthing services.
Dr Zulu is passionate about helping patients to the best of his ability, making them feel comfortable and providing a safe space to allow patients to voice any concerns they may have.
Dr Zulu enjoys reading, problem solving and travelling to go and explore the world.
